The main chemical composition of 904 stainless steel pipe includes:
• Chromium (Cr): 18.0%-20.0%
• Nickel (Ni): 23.0%-25.0%

• Copper (Cu): 1.0%-2.0%
In addition, the carbon content of 904 stainless steel pipe is very low, usually less than 0.03%, which helps to reduce carbide precipitation during heat treatment and welding, thereby avoiding the risk of intergranular corrosion.
Corrosion resistance and application scenarios
904 stainless steel pipe performs well in various corrosive environments, especially in non-oxidizing acids (such as sulfuric acid, acetic acid, formic acid, phosphoric acid). It also has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion, and is suitable for sulfuric acid of various concentrations below 70°C, acetic acid of any temperature and concentration under normal pressure, and mixed acid of formic acid and acetic acid.
